Not expecting this wine to be good especially since it’s an ‘08. Rich, strong, slight piercing power to it. As it opened up it got smoother.
Balance is good of the small number of flavors in this wine.

2014 Stags' Leap Winery Merlot

Smooth, balanced moderate berry flavor. No raisin or alcoholic aspects. Fabulous wine and paired well with several meals.
Used a Coravin over 10 days. Then drank the remainder (~1/3) after uncorking.

Smooth, mature moderate fruit cab. Its worth the 8 year wait. Stand alone and witg pizza it was terrific
