Viscous and juicy, starting with cotton candy and nectarine vibes, with a quick follow-up of mouthwatering malic acid. With time the two will meld. But such a joy, regardless of the accompanying dish. This wine is both subtle and talkative. I will always order this when it’s on a menu. Viva la Jura.

I just got a Hiyu club shipment and was reviewing my inventory. Saw the 50-point review for this and lol’ed. Had to see if it was true.
Nose is typical natty wine — that sort of funky malic acid brett nose, with some ethanol. My wife calls it cat pee. I kind of like it. No sulfuric compounds detected, though.
Palate had some fun cantaloupe and cotton candy notes. Maybe those mini oranges my kids eat. Bit of bitterness on the back. But actually quite lovely. Feels like it needs another year to marry, but still a fun bottle.
I always think about cancelling my membership, but I’ve had pinots that are simply ethereal, and the nattier wines are a fun break. So I’m not out yet!

Nose from heaven. Could live in that glass. Tannins fully resolved. Just a juicy silk bomb. Decanted briefly but not needed (perfect on PnP). Raspberry, plum, tobacco, leather. Just so bright, youthful, and entrancing.
