Having just drunk a few 09's recently, which is a 100 pt BDX Pomerol bomb, I was curious as to why Monica Lerner had downgraded this 2010 from Robert Parkers original notes, which had it skirting 98+pts ....
Gave it 1-2h decant, and upon pour was a bit shy, despite its panther black colour...... after 10-15mins in the glass she revs up and changes into more of what I was hoping. Next days 2glasses left in the bottle though are skirting with perfection..... is it just that this vintage needs more time in the cave or a half day decant? Either way, I shall buy more and store away in snaffle sparingly.
