Amazing nose after opening. Was a total WOW. And then I realized… I murdered this thing by opening it now. 2026 at the earliest. If the nose is any indication this could be special.

This was delicious. Very open, huge depth of flavor, nice acidity, was a wow. Will live for years.

Unfortunately the same can be said regarding Silver Oak or Silver Joke as known in the industry. When a winery bottles 60,000 to over 100,000 cases of a wine, quality suffers. But, these are designer wines that pseudo oenophiles lap up. They are both highly distributed and on every wine list. An article in the Wall Street Journal satirized Silver Joke by relating a story which took place in a high end NYC restaurant. Every time to the Somm came marching out of the wine cellar with a bottle of Silver Oak, the entire kitchen staff would stand at mock attention and salute.....Stay thirsty my friend and Cheers!.....The Moose
