There are no detectable age markers on this, which is just incredible for a nearly 21 year old wine. No funk, ever so slight bricking, beautiful perfumed nose and excellent balance. Tannins still present, indicating more like- I would think 15 years at least.
Warm berry pie, balanced tannin/ acid, wood notes of cedar still very present.
Overall an excellent wine.

Disappointing offering from what used to be a great vineyard. Pretty flat, but reasonably well integrated. It just doesn’t sing like Neil Ellis did with this vineyard. With 9 years of age it’s developing some okay tertiaries like bandaid/ mushroom notes. Tannins not as prominent now. Would drink up!

Just an incredible showing from Togni. Great wine makes make great wine in good years and in ordinary years and Philip & Lisa demonstrate that here.
The nose has a Cherry Cola almost Root Beer nose that is sweet to the nose. Color is red and translucent, almost Pinot like. Palette is extremely balanced. Mid-palette is full, with beautiful balance of fruit, acid and wood. Limited spice notes, more fruit forward expression.
Matches in quality and style to the '17 Philip Togni Vineyard main label and incredible QPR for this high quality wine.
