Rich smoky cherry flavors, some tannins on the finish. On the bigger fruit side when I think of previous vintages, it could use some cellar time, but will pair nicely with food right now to offset the tannins. Pork ribs with smoked chipotle BBQ sauce should work well.

Nice rich fruit and a long balanced finish on the mid palate. Drinking well at the moment but looking forward to developing more complex flavors as it ages.

Went well with Skirt Steak tacos. Tannins were soft, nice full, and balanced fruit with a touch of bitter chocolate on the finish.

8/12/2014 6:50:00 AM - Silver Mountain and Jerold are great. You'll want to learn a bit more about the history particularly how he's always been organic and rebuilding from the 1989 earthquake. You'll want to look in to Storr's Winery as well. Award winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and should have the capacity to take on new business. Lots of other great smaller producers(and larger ones) as I'm sure you'll find out.
