PnP but it was immediately aromatic and flavorful. Rich and definitely on the fruitier side of things, but delicious and not at all over the top. Would have drank another bottle with my friend if we’d had one.

Coravin. Solid nose of floral and licorice/tar notes emerged quite quickly. On the palate, less open to start, with small but grainy and grippy tannins. Soon more red fruit like cherry showed up on the nose and palate, and with a pizza alongside, the texture seemed to soften considerably. Nice enough, but not wowing me with all that much flavor or elegance.

Still quite young and I won’t touch the others I have for 3-5 years. Like some other 2013s I have had, it is a more serious expression than usual, leaning more to black fruit rather than the usual red or blue that I find at Blankiet. The tannins are not obtrusive at the front end, but still provide some sting at the back, and personally I prefer to wait until they have further mellowed. At this point, the Cab Franc seemed quite pronounced (though quite tasty), but I expect the Cab Sauv will reveal itself more over time. Already delicious, and my rating might prove conservative over time.
