Nix mix of old-new world, jammy/plum up front but not a fruit bomb. Some blackberry, chocolate, and graham. Faint tobacco and dried herbs lingering at the end.
No black pepper, florals, or blueberries like other Paso Robles syrahs.
A nice bottle but not showstopping in terms of flavors or finesse. The 2018 drank fine in 2024.

A very fun, interesting drink. Pale yellow in color, has nice acidity and minerality, a great bottle if you’re looking for that schist-y/refreshing quality. Pear, melon, green apple. Terrific with grilled halloumi, the salinity and acidity would pair well with any salty/grilled dish.

Terrific nose, dark fruit, tobacco, clove.
A lot of fruit up front without being cloying.
Tannins were round and sweet. Peppercorn, coffee, anise, clove. Inky, sweet, long.
Am going to buy more and keep for another 5-10 years. Complexity was good (9 years) and think there is more to come.
Would recommend a 3+ hour decant, drank great at 5 hours.
