Pnp. Deep ruby color, no bricking on the edges in the glass. Blackberry, black cherry and cigar box on the nose. Blackberry, cherry and dusty earthiness on the palate with a nice long finish. CdN never disappoints. I haven’t had a CdN 2012, but it was fantastic. Glad I have a few more.

Pnp. Nice red cherry and boysenberry on the nose, a little cigar box. Nice dark burgundy coloring, cherry and a little plum on the palate. Very smooth in the mouth, nicely balanced. Mid weight fruit finish. Went great with grilled pork tenderloin. Tough to pick a favorite Carlisle bottling, but Papera is consistently tasty.

PnP. Medium burgundy color in the glass, somewhat opaque. On the nose fresh flowers and maybe some raspberry. Fruit forward on the palate, a nice hit of raspberry, and a hint of strawberry. Nice mid weight finish. A real enjoyable wine at a great price (around $25) from a reliable Sierra foothills producer.
