At tasting. Brief note. Pours an inky purple in the glass. Nose and palate show very cool and restrained purple and blue fruits, a very prominent and distinct wet river rock stoniness, and a fair amount of peppery bite. Midpalate was on the lighter, more elegant side and really expressed the darker hued fruits in a way I haven't had them before. Finish is medium with the stoniness coming through to the foreground. Quite nice

Tasted double blind. Brief note. Pours a medium yellow gold. Nose and palate show almond croissant, orange blossom, lemon zest, sweet golden apples and a ton of limestone minerals. Midpalate has super acid that delineates the layers perfectly keeping everything in focus while cutting through the oily texture. This kept the perfect balance between its relatively large weight, finesse and balance on the long and complex finish. Guessed 2007 1er cru Meursault. Great stuff.

Tasted double blind. Brief note. Nose and palate show sappy plum, red cherry, sandalwood, juniper, earthy black truffles and decaying purple florals. Midpalate is full of life with great structure and depth of fruit. Complex and evolving finish that just seems to go on an on. Guessed mid-60's Barbaresco. This was absolutely singing.

6/30/2016 12:34:00 AM - Esteele, both Faiveley Corton dC 2010 or 2014 are great. I have multiple TNs you can see on the 2010. If I could only have 1 of those 2 vintages in my cellar it would be 2010.
