2010 Sojourn Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard

This was the last bottle of a case that I had bought more than a decade ago and it was outstanding. Cork was in perfect shape. Good example of the complexity and aging ability of Sojourn's single vineyard PNs. Nose was in good shape w/ dried red and purple flowers and dessicated red fruit. Palate was long and concentrated with intensity and gorgeous integration. Beautiful tertiary flavors that lasted and lasted. Acid was Med+ and beautifully cut through the creamy mushroom chicken dish we paired with it. The finish was long and elegant. Wish I had another bottle.

2016 Argyle Vintage Brut

Fresh, lighter in body w/ lemon, yellow apple and pear. On the lighter end of the spectrum for a traditional method sparkling wine and less evidence of lees than expected. More like a prosecco in that sense. No complaints on flavor. Would buy again as it is good quality for the price point and I love Oregon sparkling.
