Pretty basic on first opening. Muted red berry on the nose. Promising grippier tannins make me think that I should give this bottle another day before drinking the other half, and at least 3-4 years before opening another bottle. I echo others’ issues with QPR - v easy to find significantly more appealing wines for half the price.
Didn't hold out much hope for this to be anything but a nice and easy "luncheon" wine. However it's delicious. Light red berries with great acid profile, refined mouth feel and dangerously drinkable. Ready to go now, in my opinion. Has made me reassess my opinion of some of Nicolas' wines.

A little four square, but a handsome enough Paulliac with chocolate on the nose and a slightly “blocky” tannic finish. I’m sure it’s reasonable for the price but definitely a “midweek” wine rather than anything memorable or special
