Just a lawyer, Realtor and mortgage lender from Detroit (Mark at LawyersRealtyMI . com). After getting engaged in San Francisco and married in Europe, we honeymooned at Dracula's (Bran & Hunedoara) castles. Since then, we have enjoyed Chianti in Italy, Tempranillo in Spain, Ice Wine in Niagara, Auslese in Germany, downed Cabernet with Michael Mondavi and~ we’re making more wonderful memories all the time~ We like to dine & drink from a menu that offers up the soul of a place.
We have been blessed, indeed!
All along our journey, vin has been a part of it, from what we made and gifted to our wedding guests (who came from 14 states and five countries to attend), to how our tastes have changed, to eventually building a cellaring space for nearly 400 bottles.
We'd love to meet some other local (Detroit area) and all-over wine (and cruise ship & Euchre) lovers as we travel so often for pleasure (our kids are named after travel)... We want to Drink Better Wine in Better Places!
And if you're ever travelling in the SE Michigan area, let us know, so we can host you and share some vin and stories.
Noroc & Salud to you all!
2022 Conte Ottavio Piccolomini d'Aragona Lugana

A perfect sunny day. A Golden Italian white from PRP. Stone fruit, young, brisk & taught. Like it's strung tightly across two distant points. The nose ties the ends. The palate threads the needle. The finish clears the hot peppers.
Enough substance to dance with the Lake Michigan Salmon I caught and she liquid-core-cooked with a pesto-infused seasoning. It's fish, so of course it needs my splashes of Tabasco too. The Lugana can balance it.
This is why we work so hard...
Wait...
She doesn't work...
Ah...
Viața e buna.
Life is good.
Be well.
Noroc!

NV Grande Alberone Moscato

The gorgeous bottle alone is worth the inexpensive Aldi entry point. Sweet, as one would expect. Some honey, butter, apple, cream, goodness. Lacking in any depth, substance or sophistication, but easy drinking and friendly. An all around crowd pleaser indeed.

Very floral nose. Butter from the oak aging offers a smooth gift on the palate. Auburn California, who knew? Obviously this family does! And good thing. Kat at the vineyard poured for us, and we did a flight.
Tight, perhaps it could use some more time in the racks.?.
Rewarding in its richness and girth. Mouth coating.
The finish stays with you, no bad delta in the flavor at the end.
It offers the silky smoothness of a mid level Italian blend. Really yummy.
Glad we found this vineyard, glad we met Kat, glad we bought more than one bottle.
Into the family you go, Girl!!!
Enjoy!
