There is still life left in this vintage label at twenty years of age, showing little to no diminution of fruits or flavor. This was ruby colored with bright, vibrant expressive fruit flavors, rich and concentrated black berry and black cherry fruits with tones of spice and cedar with hints of cassis, vanilla and dark mocha.
I said in a review from a couple of years ago that my bottles of this one from after 2010 had not been as good as earlier bottles.....until til a bottle I had a few months ago, which was more in line with the earlier bottles. This, the last bottle, was similar to the last one, but is showing some sign of tiring. I would drink up.

This bottle was nothing like the last few i consumed and other recent cellartracker.com review ratings. This case was originally purchased in 2000. Original WA rating was 92, but the WS rating was 94. The bottles I consumed up until 2010 were more consistent with the WS rating. Then all of the bottle I opened dropped to the 90-91 range. One bottle was a throw away.....and the cork was not bad. This bottle was a throw back to the pre-2010 experience. Perhaps it was in a prolonged "dumb" phase. Also, this one auctions for $66 per bottle.....with an original $45-46 cost. So, other see this one in a good phase. I have one bottle left and will drink it over the next few months.

My last tasting note said the tannins were gone but should last a while. I am not sure I agree with that comment now. I would drink up soon.....I have a bottle or two left and will do so.

really nice mature Cabernet character. Definitely ready to drink- not over the hill but maybe soon. A touch of raisin nose. Dark warm fruits. Medium finish.

This wine is on the back end of its prime drinking window. A bit closed for the first five or ten minutes. It then opens with a respectable amount of fruit. The tannins are almost completely gone so the balance toward the fruit is a little uneven. However, after 30-40 minutes, the wine fell on its face and any appreciable wine was gone. If you've got it, drink it.

Very poor bottle. Little taste. Woke up for a few minutes and that was it. Previously bottles were all fine and the cork appeared normal. Concerned that this one has gone over the cliff. The original Wine Advocate rating had a drink window out to 2020. Wine Spectator said 2010. My previous notes say I did not buy the 2020 back end year, but it was fine a year + ago.....which is consistent with other CT comments in 2013.

no notes taken but on recollection this really hangin in... Mt Veeder fruit and structure is still really present and this wine exceeded expectatoins with its mouthfeel, balance, structure and food friendly palate of enough fruit and a bit of secondary flavors

Last bottle. Popped and poured and drinking beautifully. Perfect balance and at its peak. Who knows how long it will last, but why wait? I do believe that well stored wines will hold for a while, at least 5 years...enjoy

- Ruby color with fast forming legs and aromas of blackberry and violet. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and oak with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a medium finish - Rosh Hashonah dinner @ Geri and Roy Liemer's.

Amber bricking. Beautiful mature Mt. Veeder. Nose of cassis. vanilla, leather, and a hint of barnyard. Rich, almost silky approach with a firm pleasant finish. More complexity as it opened. Hard to put down the glass.

Medium - full bodied, black cherry and dark berry fruits are accented by leather, floral, tobacco and tea. Seems to be at peak now as the dark berry fruit is starting to give way to the leather.

Opened this weekend, drank with roasted chicken and haricots verts with carmelized shallots.... this wine is lovely. Seems to be at it's peak however. Nice tobacco notes, nice fruit. Hint of port on the nose almost...

Dinner with Jeff at Susan and Olivier's. I decanted this about 90 minutes before dinner and served it blind to Olivier, who has a bias towards French wine. Fooled him. He thought it was Bordelaise. This wine is drinking very well right now. Loads of cassis, tar, silky tannins and a lingering finish. Not complex enough to warrant a higher score from me and a tad on the sweet side, but for the money, the Robert Craig offerings have to be somke of the best bargains around.

Much better than the last bottle I had about 9 months ago. Seems to be peeking of it's dumb stage. Well integrated tanins with good fruit still there. This has come together but hearing what otheres have experienced I'll probably drink my last one within a year.

Realy nice on the pop n pour but fell off quickly. Bottle was super stained and lots of sediment. Perfect cork also. A tad past its prime for me.

Time to drink up. Tobacco, cedar, and dried cranberry. Enough acidity to still make this enjoyable with as a food pairing.
