Nicely alive and kicking. Spartan profile and acidic based with a meaty streak. Nose is earthy, a little baked garrigue and hung meat. Thin profile. Shorter finish that lead would expect. Some fruits on the backside. By no means great, but quite enjoyable.

Dark - full bodied - huge floral perfume - earthy leather and black fruits - hint of anise and touch of creosote on the finish - for a moment you'll think you're drinking a Bordeaux! There is still life left in this 10 year old - has several years yet.

Decanted for about 45 minutes. Open for business and ready to go. Wonderful fruit. Developing secondary nuances. Really a very nice wine, and not a bad time to drink it, although I suspect a couple more years may even improve it.

Outstanding. Great full-on fruit with incredible depth. Very full-bodied and robust. Fruity tannins with rounded elements. Hints of anise, mint and clay. Slightly short on the finish. Excellent all around.
Paired: Bison steak with warm potato salad and rapini

Nose of ripe berries. Deep, dark purple with nice carmeling. Oak with a bit of menthol. Very nice. If you own it, drink soon.

lacking the flavor of previous samples, I hope this bottle was just slightly off and that it is not "over the hill"
