This was our last bottle and it was drinking beautifully.
A limited edition of 46 cases. A blend of Clones 114, 115 and 777. Drink now but has time, still.
Manchester Ridge is planted along the first ridge from the Pacific Coast, a mere three miles from the Pacific Ocean. The site’s cool, maritime climate slows growth and ripening and this vineyard is consistently one of the last to be harvested.

I must have underrated this wine last time (or maybe it had bottle shock?), as it was a favorite at the table, and Jen liked it, too. I wouldn't have paid $100-$115 retail but everyone thought it was a fascinating wine. Very good QPR for $25 on close-out. ($33 with tax and shipping).
Berridge is a founder of Duckhorn Winery and the Manchester Ridge is the top-of-the-line pinot noir, apparently made for only 2 years. Definitely got the Sonoma Coast region character coming through. Drink now

Tasting Notes from Pinot Noir Tasting, California, 2012:
2007 Richard Berridge Pinot Noir Manchester Ridge Mendocino — Very complex on the nose with a profusion of fruit, earth, spice and herb. Lightly-textured palate. Very Highly Recommended

Dinner at Barbara and Lance's in Princeton (with Brenda, Jen and Tash plus kids and a dog) (Princeton, NJ): A very tasty wine. Deep, dark red fruits (cherry, blackberry, raspberry), forest floor, earth, bay leaf, pine and spice. Very tasty with our Cross Culture Indian food - especially the salmon tandoori and the samosa.

Lunch at Cross-Culture with Heather, Michelle, Jen and Tash and Harriet, Caro and Ursula (Cross Culture Indian Restaurant, Princeton, NJ): A very tasty wine. Deep, dark color. Good red fruits (strawberry, cherry and blackberry) and lots of spice on the finish, plus some pine notes. (I didn't get the bay leaf or fruit cake from last time). Very good with the Indian food, especially the pakoras, seekh kebab, cashmere chicken and daal.

Aromas of pine, bay and red fruit. Tastes of blackberry, strawberry, touch of fruit cake with bay leaf and lots of spices. An unusual wine.
