Really enjoyable Grenache. It's drinking perfectly right now but could go a few more years. Color was of dried red raspberrys with some transparency but not too much. Aromas of strawberry and bright red fruit. Balanced mouth feel, just right between the fruit and good structure and somewhat long lasting finish

mild red/purple hue. lots of new oak flying off the nose. very aromatic. obviously lots of fruit hanging out in this wine, but for the moment a bit obscured by a plethora of oak aromas. tobacco. cedar. DARK chocolate. blackberry. so hot on the palate. 15.5% abv. toooooo much for my taste.

Dégustée avec un pote qui change de boulot. Le 2005 dégusté à quelques reprises m'avait beaucoup plu, mais ce 2006 m'a semblé très loin du 05. Nez évoquant la tarte aux bleuets, avec des notes un peu chimiques, touche de cèdre. Loin du nez de grenache envoûtant qui me plaisist tant. En bouche, c'est un peu too much, avec une impression d'ensemble un peu alcooleuse et lourde, amertume. Plz god, faites que ca évolue vers un air de parenté avec le 2005! C'est quand même près de 50$ en IP, et à ce prix, j'trouve ca plutôt moyen

I think I'll one up Parker with an 88. The aromatics were the highlight for me. Just gorgeous nose, reminiscent of a well made Gigondas. Sweet kirsch, slight spice, almost heady with a touch of scorched earth. Palate is filled with juicy red cherry and red currants, bitter chocolate, fairly soft mouthfeel, medium bodied, and just juicy.
