This was best at the beginning then faded some. Lemongrass, asparagus, gooseberry. More fresh than waxy and more NZ than BdX. Decent wine but for the price meh…would get crushed in a line-up against half-decent BdX Blancs or Sancerres.

Tropical fruit, a touch of lemongrass and beeswax. Wonderful depth and texture. This isn’t your high acid Sauvignon Blanc, but it is well made. Good juice.

Fragrant nose with green apples and cotton candy and some vanilla. Crisp, full, with lemon and apples, some vegetable notes, and a medium ending with some spice and oak. Good but a bit too unripe on the ending. Well balanced overall but hard to justify the price.

Bold, ripe and luscious fruit is massively packaged. It is creamy and intense but just doesn’t sustain my interest. Not bad though with spicy Thai food.

Very enjoyable, one of our favorites of this style from CA. A great wine to get things started with. Rich and concentrated, medium body. Pear, lemon essence, some stone fruit, subtle nuttiness. Long finish with balance throughout. This should improve over the next 3-5 years.

Wow, what a wine. Intoxicating scents of honeysuckle, limes, white stone fruit, lemon wax, and grapefruit. Complex and structured, a touch oily, almost creamy, so succulent and yet so elegant. Wisps of vanilla and green herbs infuse the long and mouthwatering finish. Even better as it warms. This is elegance in a bottle.

A really nice SB, floral notes along with citrus, green apple, minerals. Excellent balance with acidity, long finish. Paired really well with grilled Dover sole with a lemon butter sauce.

This lively and layered Sauvignon Blanc is drinking well in the early going, but it should be even better in another 6-12 months. Light yellow in color; medium in body; nose of pear, green apple, and saltwater. Flavors of gooseberry, quince, wet grass, and orange peel, with a lively and piercing finish. Blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Sémillon. 14.8% alcohol.
I drank this on the same night as a 2017, in order to get some sense how these wines develop over time. The 2017 was more viscous in mouthfeel and yellow in color, with flavors of honeycomb and vanilla. It was still lively and chiseled, though, which made it the more compelling wine tonight. Regardless, the 2019 is a fantastic SB for the money, more than able to compete with even the priciest of its California brethren (e.g., Melka's Mekerra, Lail Georgia).

Don felt like it was over oaked (meaning he thinks any oak with SB is too much) , but Maria really enjoyed. Plenty of vanilla and tropical fruit flavors made me think of chardonnay a bit, although this did have a bit more bite.

First time with this wine, and I was certainly not disappointed. Wow, this is quite a Sauv Blanc. Nose of peaches, citrus, baked bread and lovely white flowers. Deeply rich and concentrated, this is a powerhouse on the palate. Lead by a creamy texture and wonderful tannin integration, it is showing fabulous intensity and a super flavorful fruit profile. Finishes extremely long. My first 2019 and this is a stunner. Less angular and deft, and instead opulent and pure. This is likely to age for a number of years. Suggest a decant if having soon.

Citrus and creamy melon fruit with salt notes. Pleasant balance between richness and elegance. Don’t let this warm too much as it showed best chilled.

Flowers, melons, citrus. Full bodied and less acid but more of a riper, (sweeter),rounder style than some other vintages of this.

Walk around tasting. Lemongrass and citrus notes with a subtle floral undertone. Softer acidity than the Lewis. Balanced; excellent, if a bit young.

Melon, lemongrass and mineral notes. Will need time to integrate some of the wood. Plenty of upside potential. Hold to 2025+.
