contrary to some of the notes, this wine is still drinking wonderfully. Picked up 3 bottles directly from Delille, stored properly. Gave two away for Holiday gifts, drank my bottle last night at Daniels. Decanted about an hour, but color, nose and taste were still wonderful. Well balanced, great body, medium to long finish, very good and enjoyed a lot!

Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)): Still some fruit, but definitely past its prime. Light dusty cherries, hay and strawberry jam. Some enjoyable cool climate fruit finished off with a hint of rusty nail. Time to drink (if you happen to have any on hand).

Still enjoyable although a bit past its prime. Fruit has lost some vibrancy, but the wine is holding its structure very well. Opened up nicely over the course of an hour.

My last tasting of this D2 was over two years ago. So far, it's held together quite well. Forty minutes of air did benefit this wine and it opened up noticeably, adding weight in the mouth and length in the finish. Some dark fruit remains, and I think this might have shown better than my previous bottle in 1997.

No tasting note. I was drinking through the entire range of D2’s (1993 onwards) over the last year, and this was the last vintage. Mature, a little light, but an overall surprise as I found little to like about some of the wines in the late 90’s. It still held together, but should be drunk.

A little light in the loafers. Some dark fruit still present but the overall structure is very light. If you gottem' drinkem' as I don't see this one hanging on that much longer.

Very mature but still going strong. Earthy with faint berries on the nose. Mellowed tannins and faint fruit.

Bottle was ok up front but had a really weird metalic off taste on the finish. It was just well past its prime.

Leaner then the 1998 vintage. Appears to have peaked. A little on the lean side, but still showed plum and cedar aromas and flavors.
