Outstanding! Seemingly I bought this in another life! Decanted. Opened up wonderfully over breathing for a couple of hours. Soo sorry that this is my last bottle of this. There can't be many of these around. Showing off a great Cab by Cakebread!!

PNP from a Magnum signed by Dennis Cakebread. Still a solid pour with classic Napa punch !!! Still lots of fruit, at first taste it did not taste of any age. First taste seemed thin, but over the past two hours has evolved in full form.

Cork removed - perfect shape give the bottle's age. Did a preliminary our and taste - decided to decant and air for about 2 hours. Wine had aged wonderfully. I have one bottle left - looking for the special occasion... The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis). It tastes like black currant (cassis) and blueberry. The body is full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Men's Best Bottle, BB: tasted blind vs 14 others. This is in a really good place. Still young in aroma, flavor and taste. Big but soft tannins, long finish.

This was the best, well aged CA cab I have had. Drank more like a beautiful Tuscan cab. Layers upon layers of fruit, earth, spice, and other subtleties on the nose and palate. Seems to have plenty of short term life left.

Everyone said this reminded them of "old California cabs" ... served from a 3.0 litre bottle, the wine has aged very well. A little bit of that dusty Rutherford nose, with a nice blueberry flavor on the palate. Very gentle tannins. Don't know that the 750's would still carry the weight that this big bottle still showed.

Wine still had plenty of fruit, but time is running out on this vintage. Decanted for 45 minutes before drinking and the wine continued to open up for another 20 minutes.

from magnum - and at its peak - WOW! Perfectly aged and awesome flavor. Very slightly cloudy, so smooth and a finish that goes on forever.

Nearing the end of it's useful life, but still a good example of Cakebread Cab.

Very fine bottling of a great CS. Fully integrated tannins allowed the fruit to shine through. A much better bottle than one from six months ago...

Very nice CS with hints of herbs. A bit light bodied but paired nicely with veal chops.
