-C’est quoi? Austin Hope Syrah -C’est de où? Paso Robles, Californie. Viandes rouges. -Chanson du moment: Blue Monday, Orgy.

The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like stoniness, plum and coffee. It tastes like coffee, oak, lead pencil and black pepper. The body is full. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. Changed in the glass from a monster to a soft giant. way to young needed to try 1 have 11 more that will be put away

Good color and clarity, I really like the weight - a little on the heavy side. Round, full body and soft mouth feel - plum and berries start to finish. Nice everyday wine and can go with most meals.

Dark fruit and currant aromas display more than a hint of meat. Plump, juicy, and full bodied, it shows proper structure and scale, with a root beer middle palate that picks up licorice on the back end. Very nice.

Nice, fruit forward, and easy drinking. Can probably lay down for 3-4 years and improve further. Perhaps a bit 'harsh'. I prefer his Syrah blends to this 100% Syrah.

4th Saturday Group (R&D's): Double blind. Aromas of bacon, pepper and cured meats. Flavors of black fruit and bacon. Guessed syrah. (J&L)

Had this with Oxtails. OMG is all I can say. It was a perfect pairing.
This is an excellent Syrah. Dark Cherries and Plums smell with tobacco. Smooth tastes of fruit, but strong black pepper flavors.
Would be fine to drink alone, but even better when complimenting Oxtails. A sloid 92 points.

Excellent Syrah. Dark berry, smoke, some oak but not overwhelming.

6/20/2020 - Glaso da Vino Does not like this wine:
Smelled like buttered popcorn, tasted like overrippened overextracted fruit. One glass and I was done.
