Nose: Plum liqueur, prickly. Palate: stewed plums, blackberry, quite a bit of wood, sour cherry; bitter plum skins; rounded tannins, and could benefit from a bit more acidity.

Lush, juicy, and everything I'm looking for in a WA Bordeaux blend. Muted bouquet that benefits from a bit of air, but in the glass the flavors balance nicely: plums, cassis, and some black cherry along with a subtle cedary spice note. Surprised to find this is mostly merlot (59%) as it carries a lot of cabernet on the palate. Glad I have more of this; hope it stays at this plateau for a while.

Aline KCAC. Drank with Mike from Bin South 18. $33 and in cellar since October 2019. Oak chalk nose with touch of cherry. Deep dark purple. Dry presentation medium body and chalk with hint of currant and cherry. Past prime. 7/10.
Tested 48 hours later. Pleasant chalk oak nose. Full body currant cocoa chalk. Delightful after 2 days. 7.5/10.

Three years in the cellar have brought harmony to the ingredients, balance to the mix, including the structure and acid that was wanting previously. The dark fruit flavors are tinged with dusty iron and earthy notes, rather than racy freshness. The finish has persistence, but not much liveliness.
1/1/2020 Note: Easy drinking, with sneaky, late-showing, ultra-fine tannins. The fruit and finish are really good, but this vintage could use more cab influence and structure, and a tad more acid. 90 pts.

This bottle has a very pronounced red cherry flavor to it, which I find really differs from previous vintages that exhibit blue and black fruit. Thus a much tarter flavor profile. Still well in balance and enjoyable.

Uncorked and tasted over 5 hours. Still a baby, strong primary red fruit no signs of fading, baking spices and other oak notes on the mid palate. Vacuum sealed and refrigerated overnight - still going strong on day 2, revealing more earth notes. Will easily go another 6-8 years.

Tasted alongside Sociando Mallet 1995, perhaps not fair, although we wanted to try two quite different Bordeaux blends. Sweet dark fruit, long finish, a reminder that Washington state is home to some outstanding wines, and Delille is a leader in that regard.

Delille tasting at K&L: Merlot heavy blend--that's clear from the nose. More on the nose: fig newtons, plum, Christmas pudding. Medium plus tannin but only medium acid. Nicely balanced. On the palate, more fig, baking spice, very slighly port-y. This is a pleasant, easy, easy drinking bottle.

Tasted at the Wine & Spirits Top 100 Symposium in NYC. "Only" 55% new French oak aging. Blend of all 5 of the Bordeaux grapes....Cab, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Fairly tannic (medium+) and a little less acidity than like (medium-) Lots of blueberry and vanilla. Seems in between a young drinker and a keeper.

1.5-2hr decant. Palate: medium-low acidity, heavy French oak, red fruit, spice cake, coffee/mocha. Very sweet and rich but still balanced (even with the lower acid). Weirdly muted on the nose. Pretty dang good for $35, honestly.

Drink from cellar, bin South 18. Cost $37. At Cory and Emma’s in BC. Spice currant oak nose. Dark purple. Initial chaulk tannins middle of cherry and long dry finish and lingering dark cherry flavor. Enough tannins to lay down for years. 8/10.
3/28/2020. Take away supper from winery. Notes the same. 8/10.

59% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot. A merlot dominant blend with all five of the Bordelais varieties, this is fairly dark in the glass with dark red fruit, pepper, and spice on the nose. The palate is fairly reserved with fruit, tartness, and a touch of spunk on the finish. This paired well with the NY Strip and could possibly benefit from short-term cellaring. thedrunkencyclist.com
Color: Deep Purple Nose: Coiled with Dark Fruit and Oak Taste: Some Dark Fruit came Forward but the Finish was Heavy with Olive, Oak, Slight Heat and Heavier Tannins Comp's: Definitely can use some years of aging; Fruit-Forward and Low Acidic Finish makes it a Nice Washington Wines; Similar to Sheridan's Blends and Less Acidic than Oblesico in Red Mountain; Great with Heavier Cheeses and Braised Meats

My wife and I tasted this at the Carriage House tasting room on 6/7/19. It had a deep, rich nose of violet, black cherry, plum, toast, cocoa, herb and spice aromas. The palate was rich and dry with flavors of black cherry, plum, mocha, cocoa, licorice, herb and spice.

Consistent with previous note. The modernity (in my experience many Saint-Emilion have turned away from traditional (reserved, balanced, nuanced) styles in favor of over-extracted, over-oaked, and over-alcoholic wines), substance, and balance to this make it quite reminiscent of many Saint-Emilion wines, perhaps even slightly less modern than some. In particular, a loess-like dustiness graces the wine throughout.
