Day 1: Pop and pour. Big right out of the gate. Blackberries, spices, Eucalyptus, dark chocolate and crushed rock. Intense up front on the finish but short overall. It is not a terrible wine but lacks some personality. This would be a great party wine for the masses. 86 points Day 2: A mess on day 2. Muted fruit, earth, coffee grounds and light floral notes. No acidity and a heavy tar like finish. This wine is not recommend for those who like balance. 77 points Day 3: Possibly the worst wine I have tasted this year. 70 points Recommendation: If you like the fruit forward wine with little balance and you drink it on a pop and pour this is for you. I was floored at the complete mess the wine became on day 2 and 3.

Tasted blind. Medium (+) to deep purple, with a ruby hue and a magenta rim. It is extracted and the legs are viscous. The nose is medium (+) in intensity, with blackberry, red cherry, blueberry, candied violets, black pepper and a fair amount of oak spice. The palate is dry but fruit-forward, with ripe sweet fruit, consistent with the nose. Medium to medium (+) acidity, medium (+) tannins and high alcohol (14.5%), which however is well integrated. The palate is consistent with the nose, intensely flavored, with a medium (+) finish. This is a really nice wine and a good value, which should continue to drink well for several more years.
This seemed to be a moderate to warm-climate, New World wine. The varieties could be a Zinfandel, a Shiraz , an Argentinian Malbec or a Cabernet Blend. The American oak tends to rule out the Malbec and the lack of pyrazines and currant rules out the Cabs.

Bit of meatiness, bit of jammy/stewed black fruit on the nose. Oak is there, but well-integrated. This is your textbook mass-appeal Shiraz - wild, sweet with blasting alcohol (14.5%) and grippy tannins. The acidity is there, but needs better integration. Not sure if this will gain much with aging, since the sugar levels are quite high, but they don't leave much behind them.

Purple fruit on the nose. And some rich fruit across the mid palate. The epitome of Shiraz is the idea. And works it out under $20.

A total surprise. feels like they added a vat of premium juice or a major component of declassified grapes
More fruit than savoury, blueberry with an underlying smokiness

Good value, and well balanced Shiraz. Great restaurant wine and somewhat ready to drink.

Deep dark fruit flavor, chocolate, tobacco but a little boozy. Nice balance of tanins and acid. Dark color very pleasing.
