Floral Gewürztraminer aromas, in addition to some other rather peculiar aromas, like candied citrus, almonds and resin. Pronounced acidity and bone dry on the palate. Not for everybody, but I like it.

Light gold colour in the glass. Nose with pear and peach. Excellent viscosity on the palate, sweet when it hits the tongue but a slight bitter apricot when swallow. Great composition, but still much acidity. Maybe keep for some 3-5 more years in the cellar? (However, Beyers 2003 Riesling seem more mature and drinkable now?). Anyway, a good wine and very fine structure and complexity. Had this with a selection of cheese. Went well together. 92-93P

Alsace vindag 31 jan; 1/31/2011-2/1/2011 (Operaterassen, Stockholm): Fabulous. This has all the width and fruit complexity on the nose, comparable with vendanges tardives style gewurzes. At the same time, this is very dry and light and elegant. The only Gewurz that felt food friendly tonight. WOTN.

Golden straw colour. Lightly perfumed nose of rose petal, mineral and citrous. Medium weight on the palate, slightly hot with spicy mineral finish. Nice gewurtz especially if you like minerality.
