Bold taste with great tanins. Medium to Deep finish. Was worried this had passed its peak but still good. Not in a rush to finish my other bottles. It tastes like Black currant (cassis), and Red Currant. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Round texture. The wine finishes Medium.

Very smooth, excellent little brother of one of my favorite wines, Paraduxx. Balance is very good, with typical black fruit flavors. Nice value for a second tier product of one of Napa's fine wine families.

Next to last bottle. The 2004 reminds me of why I originally started buying Decoy. Dark color. Lovely black fruit aroma. A very nice depth of black fruit with good acid and minerality. The 2006 was the reason why I stopped buying Decoy, but that's another story.

Drank with Gourmet Pizza. A little Oak and heat at first, soon burned off to offer strong berry and chocolate toffee. medium bodied and decent finish. Overall a very nice occasional bottle. I would buy again.

Deep color and powerful nose that catches your attention right away. Fruit forward with interesting combinations going on. I thought the Merlot dominated. Medium in body with some tannins. A bit of an bitterness in the finish but not unpleasant. A nice blend that should benefit from some more time.

Color: Very dark ruby. Nose: Lots of cherry, blackberry, a little vanilla and a tiny bit of smoke. On the palate: really bright red fruits, cherry, black raspberry, some black currant. It is layered with a lot of leather/tobacco and a fair amount of oak, which imparts a nice vanilla flavor. Also in the midpalate is some black pepper, which I like, as well as some very dark chocolate undertones. This wine had a surprising level of complexity. The transition between the initial attack and the leathery/spicy midpalate has a brief flash of heat but not severe. The finish, while having plenty of tannins, they are soft and really the fruit lingers a long time into the finish. In the end, it's more red-fruit than black in the flavor profile. Not bad, but not a super-great QPR either. 91 points. Paired with filet mignon and shrimp alexander at morton's on my 40th bday.

Deep purple in color. Nose is of violets and currants and a touch of mineral. The flavors are dominated by currant but have a level of complexity with cedar, spice and a finish that’s tannic. Very good for the price.

Nose: Earthy, Berry, Pipe Tobacco Color: Ruby Red with Deep dark Highlights, Great Legs Taste: A wine not easily summed up in a couple distinct flavors. The word may be balance with hints of lots of flavors, but nothing over powering just a balanced beauty.

I am not usually a big fan of Duckhorn's wines, but have to admit that this one is quite enjoyable. Solid core of ripe fruit, good structure and a nice finish. Good QPR wine to drink in the short term.

A nice, inky, purple-violet color to the 2004 Decoy. This vintage is a traditional bordeaux style blend which is quite enjoyable at its young age. Decoy is consistantly a very good value each year.

Duckhorn is one of our favorite Napa Wineries. This is their winemaker's blend, their cheapest red, and it is simply wonderful. We would definately buy this again, and recommend it as a must-try to anyone!

Very well-balanced. Good fruit, but well-integrated. Should age fine for quite a few years.

Much better than the last bottle. Dont know if the six months of bottle age did the trick or not. Very smooth with light tannins.
