NOSE: raspberry with a moderate amount of Pinot earthy/funkiness; faintly alcoholic aromas of cherries in the background; after a couple hours, the fruits fade away, leaving very coffee-laden aromatics.
BODY: light red color with some faint bricking; moderate depth of color; fine particulate matter suspended in the wine; medium bodied; this wine was actually oily looking -- as if a drop or two of vegetable oil actually got into the wine...didn't affect the taste at all...just very off-putting, visually.
TASTE: cherry and lots of cola; hints of cedar and oak lend some structure to this Pinot; the palate is somewhat hollow moving from mid palate to rear palate; medium - long finish (30-40 secs.); drink now.
B: 50, 4, 12, 16, 7 = 89

Napa Winery Tour (Larkmead, Cliff Lede, Neal, Ladera, Etude & more): Winery said that this is the last Pinot from Cliff Lede as they purchased the fruit and will now concentrate on their cabs. Good move. Dominant flavor of cherries, but not the intensity or earthiness I find in other well made pinots.

Nose of cherry, cinnamon, and toast. Medium weight with soft cherry, spice and earthy-shrooms on the palate. Finsih is slightly hot, with some vanilla showing through. Decent pinot, but lacks something...could use some more fruit on the mid-palate. Decent, but not reallly competitive with other CA pinot in this price range.

Not much going on here... just a load of cherries. Some sweet vanilla and a hint of smokieness add a little complexity. Nothing special. 86-88 points.

Medium ruby color leads to a nose of cherry and vanilla. Cherries on steroids dominate the palate. The finish is smooth. This is an enjoyable pinot.
