This particular vintage of this red blend is dominated by 44% Tempranillo, and also is comprised of a handful of Bordeaux varietals, as well as a little bit of Sangiovese. When we first tasted it several years ago, it was great, but pretty clear it needed a little time in the bottle. Well, patience paid off. Popped and poured this tonight, and it was singing! Bursting with fruit on the nose- black cherry, raspberry, cherry cola, and a hint of cotton candy. The palate followed suit, with some additional black and red fruits; even throw in a hint of toffee. It continued to evolve in the glass, but this wine drank very smooth from start to its, long finish. Still quite a bit of tannins; this wine should easily drink well for several years to come, but I don't think that it will get too much better than the place it is right now.

Maybe it's just not ready yet, but didn't really do much for me. Didn't wow me in any aspect, however it was still a solid wine, but for the price? Have a few more bottles, I'll hold and see what happens.

Medium/full bodied, forward and fresh, with a dark red berry character, coupled with coffee, vanilla and smoke. Round in texture, while tasty now, it is probably not a candidate for long term aging.

black cherries, blackberries, raspberries, pepper, toffee, pencil shavings, smoke, and crushed rock
really interesting blend that surprisingly works out, has complexity and some sort of flavor I can't pinpoint
