Much better than I expected. This is drinking very well and still has 3-5 years in it, but I think it is in the perfect place right now. Dark rich fruit with nice grippy tannins still, but not very complex. The richness is what I enjoyed with the pleasant finish .

Deep ruby color aromas of red/dark fruit with hints of leather and tobacco. Medium to full bodied, with soft tannins. Dark fruit and berries on the palate with a medium long finish. Paired with grilled ribeyes

Decanted 1 hour. Deep ruby color. Juicy, concentrated aromas of red/dark fruit, with a hint of flowers and shoe leather in the background. Medium to full bodied, with very soft tannins. Very dark fruit on the palate; blackberry, boisenberry. Some clay/pencil lead finish mid palate and a black licorice finish. A little bit flabby, but very enjoyable at this price point. Didn't feel the alcohol on the palate, but definitely felt it later that night. Paired with charcoal grilled ribeye caps.

I'm not sure what the blend is, but I suspect this is Cab Sauv with a touch of Merlot. It's good on pop-n-pour but improves with an hour of air. Nice value Napa red and, to me, more enjoyable than the more expensive estate cab.

Deep, opaque, indigo color. Medium bodied with notes of cassis, black and blue fruits. Nice backbone evidenced by robust tannins. This will surely last another 2 or 3 years but drinking nicely now.

No reason to wait. Very tasty easy cab blend for weekday drinking, and nothing to ponder, except whether you'd like to get more to drink while waiting for the more serious stuff to come around

Not a fan of these wines in general, but the 2012 is the best they've ever produced. I assume its the product of a surfeit of great fruit from the 2012 vintage.

I last drank a bottle of this 2012 Claret in May 2020 and I enjoyed it very much. You can find my review on Cellar Tracker.
Unfortunately the past 18 months have not been kind this wine with forward bitter acidic berry flavor and funky musty after tones.
I decanted for an hour as I had done last time which helped a little and another half hour with minimal further improvement.
If you have any I would drink it sooner rather than later

Medium ruby color. Slightly perfumey nose. Medium bodied with cassis, raspberry, tobacco box and pencil lead. A very solid, left bank style from Lede.

I really love this wine. It is drinking very well right now. Lots of fruit. Cab based with touch of Merlot. Glad I have a couple more bottles still.

Delicious young cab blend with lots of ripe fruit on the nose and front of the palate, and some tannic grip on the back end. A fun Friday wine.

Drank a couple of days ago. The CL '12 vintage is impressive.
