Decent Oregon Pinot for the price. Not as rich as some nor nearly as bad as some of the lower ratings might indicate. Probably deserves it's average 80s. Complexity lacking, but no off flavors either.

If someone had handed me a glass of this wine, I would have had no problem finishing it and enjoying it. But since I was taking the time to study the wine, I won't be as complimentary. Just didn't have a whole lot going on. Some nice spice notes on the front of the palette, but not much for fruit or depth. I would drink it again, but I wouldn't buy it.

PnP. Very light garnet. Sour cherry cinnamon with a green stemmy note on the nose. A bit thin on the palate with sour cherry a touch of herbs and cola. Gets better with air. A bit disappointing for Argyle and the vintage.

Oregon produces some of my favorite New World Pinot Noir. Elegant, ripe red fruits intermingled with a rustic earthiness that yields nice complexity and character.

Surprised me, very nice bouquet, very light color, good flavor with light to medium body, I have a number of entry level Oregon pinots and this one was quite drinkable compared to most others, drank with loin lamb chops, would drink again.

Very light ruby red (or intense pink). Crystalline and consistent. Medium intensity at nose, medium complexity, fine. Dried flowers and red fruits. Dry, alcoholic (13%) and medium rounded. Good acidity and medium tannins. Medium intensity, persistent and fine at taste. Medium body. Correct and well balanced, but very mild at nose and taste. Lacking body and fruit.

As Oregon wines go this is OK. A super light and ruby colored PN. It's only descriptor is cherries and lots of it. I just find Ore Pinots a bit all over the map and not comparable with the diversity and character of Cali offerings.

3.5 Served as a glass pour while visiting Atlanta, Argyle has done well to my home AVA, the Willamette Valley, with this entry-level bottling. Pure pinot aromas of fresh cherry, cinnamon, and cedar greet your nose, followed by medium-minus body with bright-red cherry core. A smooth, silken, seemless mouthfeel reminiscent of a poet's cursive pen point moving across Moleskine paper. Delightful.

(Written one week after drinking) I found the wine to be watery, one-dimensional and uninspiring. Generally diluted flavors. Light on the nose. Light on the palate. Might be okay with very mild food.

Very light all around ... Almost rose in color ... Light nose with hints of herb and strawberry. Not much fruit on the palette and, perhaps unsurprisingly, light finish with some acidity at the end. Definitely not a big fruit forward Oregon pinot, but definitely a pleasant summer sipper.

Delicious! Very Burgundian in style. Light colored. Nose of strawberries and cola. The palate has a nice mellow umami and earthy element to go with subtle fruity finish. Not a fruit bomb!

Reading the notes on this wine cracks me up. I get exactly the perspective where all the comments come from, which is to say a lot of you are wrong but you are still right, sort of. I like burgundy and I unabashedly love very light pinots that don't necessarily have a lot of fruit but have the "tone" that I love from pinot. This wine has that. It is not insipid, it is not even thin for that matter. This is a translucent pinot that has excellent balance, a perfect green forest earthy pinot note throughout, and excellent acidity with cranberry and citrus peel fruit. It is refreshing to drink, and typifies what a lower end pinot actually should be... light, but varietally correct and balanced. This wine has that. Well done. And Trader Joe's wine person, tip o' the hat to ya'.
Very pale color pinot noir. Light berry notes with limited tannin and no acidity. Very subtle notes of cherry and raspberry with easy drinking finish. Also had to be drank by itself to be fully appreciated.
