Translucent magenta. Mushroom, spice, and earth nose. Medium bodied, raspberries, tangy cherries, herbs, fully integrated tannins, a little nutty in the back, and a nice medium to long finish. Tasty with plenty of life left.

Nose: dark cherry, smoky against a backdrop of vegetable and hay notes
Palate: fairly linear and one dimensional. High toned, Green pepper and vegetable tastes. Lacks balance as the tannins are medium dry and the wine lacks enough fruit notes to balance it out

I've just started to dip into my 2012 Oregon pinots. This bottle suggests I may have waited too long. Unsurprisingly, it was fairly big and full-bodied for an Oregon pinot in the way I've enjoyed with some of the producer's sines in the past. Some fruit. a bit of acidity, but little structure overall. It lacked that inner mouth energy that suggests it has the legs to go longer. Disappointing and flat.

i Agree this is a real treat. Made in their famous full bodied style, this is way darker and richer than any Oregon Pinot, but still relatively mild by Siduri standards. They nicely captured the flavor and aroma characterictics of the highly touted, generous 2012 vintage. Mostly red fruit, mostly red cherry fills the palate from entrance to finish. Sneaky vanilla and oak. Relatively mild tannins. So nicely balanced it leaves the impression of sweetness though it very close to dry. There is some mild pepper, and a hint of chocolate with the cherry on the finish.

Aromas of cola and a touch of caramel. Initially sweet red fruits, some vanilla and oak. Not much in the way of tannin but a fair amount of acid. With air, the fruit turns a little darker. A bit simple.

This is a very good bottle of 2012 Oregon Pinot. There is bright acidity, tart red fruit with floral notes, blood orange and cola coming through on the mid palate with a solid medium length finish. There is a bit of an unruly imbalance between the acid and the alcohol on the finish that shows this needs to settle down a bit. At the $40 release price, this not the greatest QPR as one can do better for the money from the likes of St. Innocent and Patricia Green IMHO. However, at the Berserker Day price this was well worth it and I am looking forward to the others in the pack - 90+.

Adam says this one is own rooted, and its noticeably different than the Hawk's View with is adjacent to Muir. Tastes more integrated at this time. Didn't take detailed notes, but the aromas are very alluring.

I received the shipment last week, part of my Berserker Day purchases. When I opened the box there was some wine staining. Upon inspection I felt it was this bottle and checked then cap, sure enough it was a little loose. These things happen. I contacted Tyler and he shipped a new bottle out ASAP. I decided to go ahead and pop this bottle just to see it had survived being open to air or not.
Upon opening the bottle it smelled great but tasted a little sour. I initially feared it was bad but decided to try it with food and lucky for me, dinner was almost ready. After a few bites (or air time) the flavor started to come out and it paired very well with curried rice and smoke salmon, a little surprising. The flavor mellowed and was very good. We enjoyed the bottle over the Next three hours.
While it was loose, I now do not think the cap was loose enough to have affected the wine. I would not have opened the wine this early had I thought it might not be affected by it though. I will be emailing Tyler to let him know I am happy to pay for the replacement bottle since this one not only fine, but very enjoyable.

Fantastic. Earthy, cherry, nicely balanced, enough roundness for drinking without food but still went very well with mac and cheese.

A bit closer to the style I like compared to the Garys vineyard I had last night. Dry cherry and cranberry, acid short finish. Ok but poor qpr.

The crowd tasting said this was the most fruity of the Arbre Verte, Hawk's, and Muir trio along with some vanillin creaminess.

Really hot and oaky... disappointing. I love Siduri, but this was the worst one I have ever had.
