Opened it an waited about 15 minutes, it was still pretty tannic, not much to it and I figured that was it. Fixed dinner and about 40 minutes later had another taste and it was totally different, more tart cherries, lighter tannins with a warm finish. Rating is based on the price, better than expected, good value, still holding its own.

A nice merlot that could be a daily drinker. After 20 minutes it opened up a bit to chocolate and cherry hints along with black fruit. It will age for 3 to 5 years.

No, it's not a world class wine. But it has a firm backbone, very dark fruit, a little mint, some chocolate, and a decent finish. It is slightly disjointed, but it's still a great value at less than $20. I've had too many wines for a couple dollars less that were so nondescript that I think this is a nice wine for the money.

Dark ruby. Varietal nose, with a hint of mint. Decent fruit in the mouth, but a bit rough and disjointed. Ok for the money. Just standard quality. 4-11-13-6: 84/100.

Clear deep garnet. Fig, black plum, toasted oak. Very low acids, low tannins. Cherry. Short slightly acidic finish.

Overall a well-made crowd pleasing merlot. Balanced with good fruit and a long finish.
