Consistent with earlier tastings - medium bodied, spicy, earthy leathery super ripe black berry fruit, touch of menthol, hint of vanilla on a long spice finish.

Drank from a magnum. A dark inky core with brownish rim showing maturity. Pop & pour it shows a funky nose with cola, red fruits, earth and leather. Still barnyard dominance nose with some roasted coffee character after 1+ hours. It has a leathery palate with plenty of tart red fruits and sweet barnyard notes. Smooth and soft but it is a little lean for a Barossa Shiraz. Tart aftertaste with spicy undertones and soft tannins. Intensity gradually built up at mid-palate but still short of a good finishing. Pretty boring to drink it alone but this is not good enough for me to bring out and share with friend. Not a wine that I would buy again. (88)
Second day is more enjoyable, less funky barnyard notes and showing more fruits both on the nose and palate. Finishes well with spicy and sweet fruits aftertaste. (89)

Very earthy nose with blackberry notes and a hint of menthol. On the palate, medium body with cherry/blackberry fruit and a hint of sweetness. Moderate acidity keeps it in balance--this was fruit forward, but not what I would call a bomb. Smooth and enjoyable.

Nice mix of intense fruits, including blackberrys and plums, with a finish of chocolate and a spice. Sam's offers this bottle at $23 which is a bargin compared to other places.

Slightly funky nose with lots of dark fruit. On the palate, almost zin-like with plums and berry liqueur flavors. Tannins pretty much gone already.
