Just had my bottle and want to say that contrary to other tasting notes, I would not say it’s aged too much. Very nice strong cassis flavor, gentle tannins, long finish. Love it. I wonder if there is inconsistency across the bottles. I had some other Rasa bottles from similar vintages (eg 2008 QED) that were showing more age and oxidation.

I believe it is past its peak. Tannins that expressed themselves early were gone in an hour. Slightly aged color around the rim. Tasty, but not complex or layered as expected from this producer.

Decanted about 1 hours. Bold red fruit, hints of black licorice, vanilla, spice and the “cabbie” smell we love. In the mouth, the tannins have softened. The fruit is perfect, the finish is velvet and long. Paired this with some big NY Strips and the combo was awesome. This wine is a great window right now. Delicious, wish I had more.

No detailed notes, but this was showing very well right now. Dark fruit, nicely concentrated but still light across the palate. Lengthy finish with very fine and integrated tannins.

Decanted about 1 hour. The wine has a deep ruby color and a rich, intense nose of mint, tobacco, graphite, and floral rose. Deep penetrating flavors are wrapped of black licorice, graphite, and minerals. Soft and silky tannins with vibrant acidity. Long and smooth finish picks Up flavors of cherry and earth. A nice balanced wine.

100 Cabernet all kiona old block. The hermitage glass I don’t think is helping it. But herbs and savory on the nose. Purplely fruit. Lively. Fresh still. Light on the palate. Almost lean. I wonder if that was purposeful?

Red fruited with an integrated tomato vine / mint element and a dash of white pepper with little oak showing at this point. Not better than my 2015 note, should have a long, slow descent from here, possibly adding some aged gloss even as it loses fruit. 91-92.

Opened up nicely in the decanter over a few hours. Features currant, red and black cherry, and pencil shavings in a medium frame with a medium length and nicely tapered finish. Now noticing the winery note including mint, which rings true. Drink with a decant or food or continue to hold.

Drinking very well now. Classic walla walla leathery volcanic soil character with nice complexity in the dark fruit finish.

Agree with Silton 100% here. Not huge in flavor, very herbaceous and opens nicely over 2 hours, so definitely decant it.
