Decanted 3 hours. Boysenberry, sour cherry, black very, fennel, white pepper, and some spices. Tart on the palate. I enjoyed this wine better when it was young.

Ten years in this is getting outrageously beautiful. Red fruit dominant, juicy raspberry, red currant, cocoa, and vanilla in a very pure form. Focused. Mouthfeel is full body, supple tannin, and moderate acidity. It’s juicy on the palate as well. Loads of fruit but plenty of acidity to back it up. A great wine now and will likely continue to pick up subtlety over time. Wow.

Ok, the July 1 bottle must have been an aberration. This was delicious and every bit the Howell Mtn Cab I expected. Full of fruit, spice and a bit of steely granite. Fills the mouth and has a long, lingering finish.

A good, quaffable Cabernet but not a traditional Howell Mountain. Plenty of raspberry, blackberry, tobacco box and oak in this but missing the pepper, clove and bramble flavors I often identify in Howell Mountain wines. I would not downgrade this as much as others have but it comes across as a none AVA specific Napa cab.

Deep garnet color and aromas of lead pencil on the nose. The flavors are a different point as acidity overpowers and dominates. The mouthfeel is viscous but the acidity really overpowers the fruits and you are left with a dancing feel on the tongue. Yet through it all it has some good qualities and I think that the wine has room to improve with some bottle age.

Medium ruby color. Glycerine and very long legs. Interesting nose of spice and moss, representative of Howell Mountain. Bold black and blue fruit on the palate with a finish of pepper and clove. Moderate tannins. A toned down Howell Mountain offering but very nice. This does need about an hour to reveal the rich, ripe fruit. Drink now.

- Purple color with medium forming legs. It's unbalanced with a light body. Bright texture with a short finish - This is one of those wines that only gets worse with age! Hey LedCore- maybe you should go back to construction--- aye!

Almost past its prime. Still drinkable but has lost some fruitiness of course.

Good yet nothing noteworthy. Disappointed. Lacked body and nose.
