The color is more brownish, the nose is not pleasant with very earthy scents and what’s best described as soy sauce. The taste is not good, hard to describe. Would not buy.

Clear garnet red in the glass. Medium shy nose of dried cherries and brown and red spices. On the palate, cherry Ricola and rooibos tea. Medium tannins, medium acidity. Medium long finish of cranberry and cedar. Very tasty. Would be great with food, think pacific salmon or cranberry-maple pork chops. Drink now to 2016.

Clear pale garnet in the glass. Red fruit, earth, spice on the nose. In the mouth: Strawberries, raspberries, sweet spice, wood. Medium acidity and easy, fine tannins. A juicy, easy drinking, lighter-styled Pinot Noir. Good with a little chill on it. Under $15.
