Unfortunately, past its prime. Lots of VA with really porty fruit. Just all out of sorts, with nothing coming together. While not completely undrinkable, I couldn't enjoy it and poured the bottle down the drain. If you have any, drink now or dump.

From a very rare 5 liter bottle! Utterly delicious and ready now. In the glass developed to be even better, but that is probably due to the bottle size. If you own regular size bottles, start drinking- and enjoying these!

chokolade, vanilje, kirsebær, våd kælder, peber, Per-fekt i syre, alkohol og sukker balance. Lang smags oplevelse. Denne vil vippe mange amaroner af pinde. Stor kompleksitet.x

Garnet color in the glass, a little dusty looking. Nose of pencil shavings, berries and strawberries. Flavors of berries, raspberries and strawberries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium bodied. Drink now.

Körsbär, röda bär, choklad och kaffe. Lät lufta vinet i 3 timmar innan det konsumerades. Mycket trevligt vin som jag skulle kunna tänka mig att köpa mer av framöver. Jag kände inte av de 15,5% alkohol.
As before, quite a treat as an early pre maturity wine. Open for nose-business (etheral and cool, including menthol) and performing the mouth-work well. Like previous note. Will deliver quite an evening for the self-disciplined ppl among us. I hope we manage to keep our final btl until some time around 2018. As wife was also curious, we decided to have this at Restaurant Tani (Gaienmae, Tokyo). We don't regret it. Married most courses, including the spectacular Fois Gras and outstanding "sushi" (perfect, high grade wagyu, perfectly grilled, and placed on rice patties...) YUMMMM! Reflection of the week: Life can be beautiful from time to time.

This is as good as valpolicella gets. 15.5% but absolutely no heat - great after 90 minute decant on day 1, even better on day 2. Better than most ~$50 amarones.

What a stunning wine! Delicious and multi-layered. Neither sweet nor over-extracted. This is just amazingly interesting and promising. Nose is wide open with broad dark fruit, mint and sour blueberries and raspberry candy. Full bodied, elegant Valpolicella with lots going on. Well framed by fine acids and distinct tannin. Raspberries, smoke M+ length. Late stage pre-maturity. Will wait 3-5 yrs f next btl (out of a measly 2 btls left).

Short note.
Excellent Valpo! Mini Amarone, with great structure. Fruity all the way, very good length and no heat from the 15,5% alcohole. Excellent!

Mt. Tabor Fine Wines Italy's Less Traveled Wine Roads Tasting (Mt. Tabor Fine Wines): Floral nose. Complex in the mouth, different with each sip. Blueberries, lavendar, caramelized onion, more. A lot there. I haven't tasted much Valpolicella and there's too much here for me to pick out as a newcomer to the region.
