Nose of butterscotch, lemon peel, walnuts. Elegant mouthfeel, not overly ripe. Finishes with mature bitter oak tannins rather than the usual overtoasted sweet tannins, which helps to create balance. Relatively little oxidation, which surprised me in light of the impressions from the nose. New World for sure, but done in an interesting and relatively complex style.

A very pretty surprise. So much life still, juicy, well-mannered, very charming nose, maintained the elegance an really so welcoming. Impressive really. 92-93

Still full of juicy life. Buttery, rich and full textured, forward fruit, more obviously Cali than the Burg before. There is nice cut from the acid which balances the depth. Honestly, I wouldn't hurry to drink these if I owned. Really a great showing.

Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of yellow pears, yellow apples, brown spices, a little ash and some wet stones. Flavors of juicy pears, creme and apple pie. Medium acidity, full bodied. Drink or hold. I'd lean towards drinking.

Drank this at DiFara's pizza and wine dinner in NYC. Beautiful golden color. A tiny bit sweet, and still firing on all fours. Very enjoyable.
