Even though this wine still falls into a classic NAPA cab, this time I noticed more herbaceous, and bell pepper notes , very similar to what you find on Cabs from Chile ( Maipo area). Wood and tannins well integrated already. Enjoyed with a nice grilled rib eye at Mastros Steak house.

Huge wine. Tannins still powerful. I decanted for 3.5 hours and still tannins prevalent on the finish. I will give this wine another three years before opening my last bottle.

Day 1: Carnival of red berries, blues, and hints of oak, Tannins still present but rounded and silky. A few more years still left without compromising its fruit core. Classic master piece from Napa Cabs.

While this was very good I think it may be sleeping and it probably needs another 3 to 5 years to fully integrate. I won't drink the other one I bought until 2022 or 2023. I think this will eventually be in the 94 to 96 range.

This was magnificent cabernet. It was so deep, balanced for its size, and complex. Layers upon layers of dark fruit, mocha, dark chocolate, dusty earthiness, and spice. A wine that made you reflect on it and smile. None of its elements were overwhelming individually but married together nicely. Long finish!

Drank with dinner after 2 other great cabs. This is what I have been looking for. Big, rich, dark fruit flavors that coat the palate, not overwhelming, but allow the herbs, oak and spice to add dimension. Long, smooth finish. Textbook Napa cab, one of the best I've had.

Young and fairly massive. Needs looong decant (12 hours) to open up and soften. Drinks a bit harsh early on. Flavors of dark chocolate covered expresso bean dominate the finish. Dark fruit and earthy notes, Next morning a tiny bit left in the decanter probably rated 95+ (much lighter profile and completely integrated)! A baby.

Very nice and fully mature, but got a bit lost in the company of a 2013 Carter ‘Three Kings’ To Kalon cab and a 2009 Shafer Hillside Select.

Drank very nicely. Still pretty bold. Can let it lie for several more years, I'd say.
