Great last bottle. Lemon curd and toasted vanilla, with pineapple and blood orange at the finish. Drinks really well, similar to a 1er from a lesser area of Burgundy in a good year (I'm thinking of St. Aubin in a year like 2010).

Good SB, and notes seem consistent with a lot of posters. The nose is grassy, with a bit of grapefruit, asparagus, some oak coming through on the finish. Has a big texture, and feels heavy in the mouth. Finish started to turn me off towards the end, I gradually dropped by score down on this one, but that said, I still enjoyed it.

Recent CT tasters have accurately described this wine. Light straw color, almost clear. Classic SB bouquet. Taste is not classic, but in a good way. Although there is plenty of acidity, this wine is not overly bright like much SB, and the citrus favors are more in the background. Taste honeydew melon, caramel or toffee, indeed, there's just a very nice soft and mellow character. Query: what was the oak treatment, if any? Would not call this wine "crisp," an adjective often used for SB. Some tasters may not like this. With time, however, I think this wine has taken on flavors it would not have had if we had opened it when it was really young. Btw don't drink this wine too cold: take out of cellar, put in refrigerator for half hour, then drink.

PnP out of fridge. Clear appearance, pale lemon in color, fading to a colorless rim. Nose is in good condition, with a youthful and med intensity nose of pungent lemon curd, chalk, grapefruit zest, and grass. The palate shows a dry wine of med(-) body and med alcohol. Flavors are med(+) intensity, and include citrusy lemon and grapefruit, a hint of toffee or caramel (was there a bit of oak used here?), some chalky minerality, all buttressed by high and mouth-watering acidity, settling into a med/med(+) finish of freshly cut grass, citrus zest, and rocks. This wine is very good quality, and is drinking well right now, but may further mellow out a bit in the next year (I'd wait a bit if I were u), then should drink well over the following year or two. Nice as a warm weather appertif, or to drink with high-acid, light to med bodied foods.

Light nearly white yellow. Lean, more like sancerre and not overtly grapefruity like New Zeland. Certainly some grapefruit, more pear, some lemon, touch of cut grass, all well balanced. Clean finish. Probably served a tad too cold which may have muted the fruit, particularly on the nose, a bit.

I have long been a fan of their Sauvignon Blancs and this one did not disappoint. Bright notes of gooseberries, guava, and yellow grapefruit, rounded out with some lemon curd. Not a thin or acidic SB by any means but not over the top either. Just a really nice, full-flavored, yet balanced wine.

Limpid straw; typical SB aromas of lychee fruit, cat pee, and minerals. Dry, floral flavors with fine acidity and notes of lychee, stonefruit, citrus, and a touch of guava. Good length on the limestone and stonefruit pit finish. Articulates elegance.

Wine Reviews: Sauvignon Blanc: SRP: $23. A serious, lean Sauvignon Blanc that reminds me of a top-flight Sancerre. Underripe peaches meet pink grapefruit, pineapples, and chalk. The palate is much tarter than the nose suggests – exploding with zesty citrus notes, bracing minerality, and mouth-watering acidity. A solid wine.

This is a 14.7% abv Sauv Blanc from Napa Valley. On the nose, I get the extracted green apple and lemon zest that reminds me more of a NZ SB. A bit "over the top" for my liking. The palate shows a balanced wine with very tight acid, notes of fresh cut grass and citrus vibrancy, and a lemon drop finish that lasts 20+ seconds. The wine is tasty but not really my cup of tea. Should drink well for another few years.

Classically styled, this brims with relatively complex layers of melon, tropical fruit and pithy citrus flavors. Medium body with medium- to medium acid, avoiding excess richness on the palate, though finishing a bit short and flat.

Gorgeous nose. Lots of orange blossoms, kiwi and lemon lime. I could smell this all day. Focused palate with lemon lime, pear and fantastic ripping acid. Finish is perfectly rounded out with a woosh of crushed rock.

14.7% ABV. Medium straw in the glass. Similar to the previous two vintages if I recall correctly, but perhaps with a bit less definition and precision in the flavors at this point. Medium bodied with tangy sweet citrus elements with a slight herbal and mineral note.

Good but not great. I got some buttery notes which surprised me. I like a bit more tropical fruits than was present. There is so much great SavBlanc under $15-$20 that it is hard to justify the price on this one. I generally like everything out of Cliff Lede so wanted to give this a try.

Nose of lemon and pineapple, which really come through on the palate. Pear and a little straw as well. Rich mouthfeel with a nice, slightly sweet finish.

Apple and lemon up front, with some peach & pineapple that follows... Didn't enjoy as much as the 2009 vintage but still a treat (especially at such a reasonable price point).

Lime flavor pretty basic. A bit oaky. Good weight. Zesty, I prefer my SB's to be a bit more subdued.
