Saturday, February 1, 2014 - This wine is still coming into its prime but is not quite there yet. It was just starting to open after an hour but was too delicious to wait for 2 hours. Burgundian in style, lush fruit predominates with some very slight acidity still on the finish. The only real disappointing feature is the nose, which is just average. A bit of spice and pepper but nothing to suggest the coming pleasures on the palate. So happy we have more to enjoy over the next few years. First rate winemaker here in Melissa Burr.
