Sunday, July 31, 2011 - 14.6% alcohol. Bright cherry color. Aromatic nose of black cherry, blackberry, heavy baking spice, and a lurking mineral note. In the mouth, impressive balance on a big frame, with slightly jammy fruit but enough earth and spice elements to stand up to it and keep the wine well-balanced. Bright acidity and a strong finish, with just a touch of back end warmth. Very nicely done. A-
