Saturday, March 16, 2013 - A Saturday at Linden (Linden Vineyards - Linden, VA): Rich nose of mixed berries, bramble, worn leather, and bitter cocoa. The palate is medium bodied and surprisingly linear and directed, with focused mixed berries and spice against savory tones of sous bois. There is lively acidity on the medium length finish, lifting flavors of dried red berries, pepper, bitter coffee, and spicy tobacco. The tannins are beginning to soften, and it is beginning to show signs of maturity. Drink. R&M88
