2021 Hoddles Creek Chardonnay

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

85 Points

Saturday, May 6, 2023 - Second go with this producer after having had the glou glou-styled PN earlier in 2023. This one, pure Chardonnay, did not disappoint although - to be frank - it is a terrace wine, versatile, fresh & non-complex. Straw-yellow, shiny in appearance. Tacit nose w vague hints of citrus, barrel spice, flowers. Palate slightly more peachy, anorectic, flinty w ample acidity, brisk minerality, fine-tuned flavours as per nose, linear & slightly tedious, finishing on a dry-lemony, mineral-driven note. Well, 85p, c’est tout.
