2017 Turley Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard

95 Points

Thursday, December 9, 2021 - Of the ~50+ Zin I've tried this is just freaking awesome. Best zin of my life! Incredibly velvety, weighty mouthful with an insane fruit poise on the palate which is where the wine really shines (the nose is killer but the real fun is on the palate). The (red) fruit flavors are truly regal. 94-95+

12/10/2021 11:53:00 AM - Lol, Dan.....fyi starting in '19 Turley downsized their unique bottle just a tad so it's now a standard size, so there will be fewer nicked labels going forward. This vineyard along with Ueberroth, Heminway, Pesenti and Dusi are my go to's every year out of the 27 or so different zins Turley puts out. I think this Hayne costs me $75/bottle direct from Turley. You got a good deal!
