Monday, June 21, 2021 - Almost thirty years out this wine is full of fruit, rounded and shows loads of structure. Kind of a sour/sweet plum and berry profile. I've had much older vintages (1968) and this is very similar but the year and the age gives it a much less lean profile.
Some notes talk about this fading, but I saw no evidence of this. Decant an hour or two - a little acidic out of the gate.
