Saturday, June 15, 2013 - The nose is quite pleasing. It's concise but very inviting with rich red fruits, brown sugar and spice with some floral and stem notes. The palate is on the sweeter side for me, but it's balanced wonderfully for being so young. The tannins sneak by somewhat unnoticed and the acidity shows up nicely on the back end. This is as good as anyone could ask for in terms of a pop and pour food wine. It screams BBQ on 4th of July weekend. Get it while you can.
