Tuesday, January 7, 2014 - Much better with air. At first the fruit is a bit sweet and rhubarby and the stems are very prominent and green. With air everything settles down, with the acid tightening up and the stems fading slightly. Good concentration and nicely expansive in the midpalate with good acidity, but not especially complex. This is very Rhys-y in style with and a decent version of a CA village wine. There's enough tannin to hold it together but there's not a lot of structure here.
