Monday, February 22, 2021 - Purchased on release. This was a bit leaner and less fruit-driven than a 2010 Larkmead Firebelle consumed alongside it, but offered a fascinating comparison. Still a bit primary, with great depth of flavor and plenty of length. Somewhat savory, layered and complex, with dark berry and pit fruit notes and minerality. Silky floral notes emerge on the finish. I am eager to see how these evolve.
