Wednesday, February 13, 2019 - Served with a smoked brisket and alongside a 2003 Monte Bello; the nose here is classic; definitely get some oak notes of vanilla, menthol, mocha, underlying is rich cassis, earthy notes, violet, and a bit of cigar wrapper; the palate here is plush and rich, but still has lovely balance, very good depth, and a lasting finish. This is drinking quite well right now, but has plenty of life and development ahead. A classic Diamond Creek
