Wednesday, April 4, 2018 - I real pleasant surprise as I'd bout a couple of these and had the prior bottle nearly 4 years ago, taking no notes. I thought this would be over the hill. Not so! Even though there were elements of both the nose and body that suggested (over-)ripe dark fruits, it was surprisingly buoyant with a persistent freshness (was there some carbonic?) carrying it throughout the meal. A 12% weeknight winner with a chicken dish (a glass+ left in the bottle overnight probably won't survive to the gullet, but if it does, I'll report back).
